About Me

I look like this.

My writing appears in various literary journals (New England Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, The Carolina Quarterly, Grist), humor publications (McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, The Belladonna, Points in Case), and other venues. Meaningful support has come from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, the Maryland State Arts Council, the Lawrence Foundation Prize, and many specific humans. I teach creative and professional writing at the University of Maryland, College Park.

I occasionally take on commissions, ghostwriting, editorial consulting, and arts writing work (grants, catalogue text, promotional). E-mail to discuss.
